The “Glimmer” series was conceived by Fisfisa Media to embrace the issues affecting kids and teenagers’ lives.

Carrying the baton of the high praise already received by the Glimmer series, The Echo Before Dawn is a comic dedicated to an issue that has seeped into the lives of younger generations: drug abuse.

The Echo Before Dawn is the brainchild of Golden Comic Award winner Lang-Chi. Created with the enthusiastic cooperation of frontline experts in drug abuse prevention psychology and law, this comic explores urgent drug-related issues affecting young people today, in a search for glimmers of compassion and hope.

Two teenage boys with completely different personalities and backgrounds are brought together by their shared love of the same song. The two teens become inseparable friends as they navigate the harsh storms of adolescence. But when drugs enter the picture, they gradually lose control…

Once more, Lang-Chi gives free reign to her masterful storytelling skills, using tight pacing and illustrations rich with the interplay of light and shadow. This comic’s pages are filled with dramatic tension that brings the anguished cries of two young, lonesome souls to life.
